Blog-O-Ween Day 18- The Corpse Bride Halloween Costumes

Emily and Victor Halloween

This year for Halloween we had some friends over and we all dressed up. When we were brainstorming Halloween costumes this year, my husband and I decided to pick a bride and groom theme.  We got married on October 30, 2021, so we thought doing a married theme costume would be great for our one year anniversary. Today for Blog-O-Ween Day 18 I am sharing our Corpse Bride Halloween Costumes.

The Corpse Bride Halloween Costumes

Emily

These costumes were pretty easy for us to put together since we had most of the materials. My costume was Emily from the Corpse Bride. To become this character I was going to need a wedding dress or something that looked like one. Since I had my wedding dress preserved I could not wear it for Halloween. Instead of purchasing another Halloween costume, I decided to use something I already had. I technically wore a toga instead of a wedding dress but I thought it worked for the costume.

Since Emily is blue I wore a long sleeve blue shirt underneath my toga instead of painting my arms blue. I did however paint my face and neck blue. Luckily it washed off later that night. Emily also has blue hair. Instead of purchasing a blue wig I had my husband spray my hair blue. I thought it looked super cool! I also had a Day of the Dead headpiece that I wore since Emily wears something similar in the movie.

Victor

My husband’s costume was also super easy to put together. Since he was dressing up as Victor from the Corpse Bride, he wore his suit from our wedding. This worked out perfectly since Victor has pinstripes on his suit and so does my husband.

The Corpse Bride was a fun and pretty easy costume for us to put together. It was fun being blue for a night, haha. I hope you had a great Halloween and you were able to dress up as something spooky! I hope our Corpse Bride costumes gave you some ideas for next Halloween!
