D.I.Y. Seashell Wreath

Do It Yourself (D.I.Y.) Christmas presents and decor are always a fun project to work on during Christmas Time. They can be stressful if you do not have the proper amount of time to work on them, but if you pick an easy one or have a lot of time on your hands, they are enjoyable.

Today I wanted to share one of my favorite D.I.Y. Christmas decor projects that I did a few years ago. I made this project as a Christmas present for my mom that she could display in the house during Christmas Time. The project I did was a seashell Christmas wreath.

This seashell wreath is very easy to make. It is not time-consuming and it is a unique wreath to display in your home. The supplies you will need for this project are:

  1. An artificial Christmas wreath. You can find these at any craft store.
  2. Seashells. Mine are ones that I collected on the beach but you can also purchase a pack of them at a craft store.
  3. A hot glue gun.

After purchasing my wreath and getting my seashells together, I laid my shells out on the wreath. This way I could decide where each shell should go before gluing them on. While I was laying my shells out, I turned my hot glue gun on so it was heated up once I was ready to use it.

Once I had each seashell where I wanted it, I started gluing them on with my hot glue gun. I would put some glue on the back perimeter of the seashell, then place the shell where I wanted it on the wreath, and would gently press down on the shell for a few seconds to make sure it bonded to the wreath.

After repeating this process for every sea shell your wreath is complete! I would wait at least a few hours before hanging it just to make sure it is completely dry.

This seashell wreath makes a great gift for yourself or someone else. It is easy and fun to make and is a unique decoration to hang in your home. If you are a beach lover like me or know someone who loves the beach, this wreath is perfect!
