It has almost been a year since we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day at home. I am sure we all thought we would be back to normal celebrations this year. However since that is not the case, I decided to create a list of St. Patrick’s Day Activities that you can do at home. Just because outside celebrations are cancelled, you can still get into the Irish spirit at home!
St. Patrick’s Day Clothing
Before jumping into Irish festivities, you have to be dressed for the occasion. I have collected a few favorite St. Patrick’s Day shirts over the years. I enjoy wearing St. Patrick’s Day themed clothing all throughout the month of March.
Some of my favorite shirts have come from Hot Topic. Others are from local places and from our St. Patrick’s Day trips to Savannah. Whatever Irish pride shirt you have, make sure to wear it on March 17th!
Make sure to check out my Skull Shamrocker collection too!
Lucky St. Patrick’s Day Playlist
To help get into the Irish spirit while you are getting ready for the day, put on some fun and festive music! I created a Lucky St. Patrick’s Day Playlist last week, which you can check out here. This playlist will bring you lots of luck and put you into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit.
St. Patrick’s Day Drinks
It would not be St. Patrick’s Day without an Irish beverage. I like to start everyday with Irish Breakfast Tea. To me this tea is more mild and less bitter than English Breakfast tea. I would definitely recommend trying it if you never have.
Another warm Irish beverage I enjoy is Irish coffee. My version of Irish coffee is pouring chilled Bailey’s Irish cream into my coffee minus the whiskey.
If you are looking for alcoholic St. Patrick’s Day beverages, green beer and Irish Car Bombs are always a fun choice. My family and I used to go to Savannah during their St. Patrick’s Day celebration. We would always drink green beer there and had a wonderful time.
Irish Treats At Home
Next on the list of St. Patrick’s Day activities are baking Irish inspired treats. If you like to bake it would be a fun day to create shamrock cookies, Irish potatoes, or Irish Soda bread.
St. Patrick’s Day Movies
Another great way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day is by watching an Irish movie. My favorite St. Patrick’s Day movie is the Disney Channel Original Movie, The Luck Of The Irish. I remember watching this movie when I was 13 and loving it. The Luck Of The Irish is now on Disney Plus and I will definitely be watching it on St. Patrick’s Day!
From dressing up for the occasion to having Irish drinks, I hope my list of St. Patrick’s Day Activities at Home gives you some great ideas. I hope by next St. Patrick’s Day we will all be able to travel to fun in person celebrations.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day and Stay Spooky!
