Floppy Hat Friday

Hats are one of my favorite accessories. I love wearing them all year and creating new outfits to style them with. Most of my hairs are either wide-brimmed or fedoras. I had my eye on this Betsey Johnson hat for awhile now. A few months ago I saw it at Nordstrom Rack and knew it would be perfect for spring!

This hat was available in either black or grey. I decided to purchase the grey one since I already have a wide-brimmed black hat. I also knew that I would be able to style this hat with many different outfits since it is a neutral color.

When I was styling this hat for the first time, I knew I wanted to keep the rest of my outfit neutral except for a pop of color.  I wore a simple white t-shirt from Brandy Melville with a pair of teal jeans from Delia’s. These jeans popped nicely against the grey hat.

I chose a few brown bracelets and a peace sign necklace for my jewelry. I wanted to have a little bit of fun with my shoes, so I wore my black and white music note Toms.

This hat is very comfortable to wear. It is made out of wool, which can get hot in the summer, but is still ok to wear on a nice spring day. My favorite part of this hat is the cute flower cut-outs. These cut-outs are all around the perimeter of the hat. The adorable bow adds a nice finishing touch to the hat as well.

Unfortunately, this hat is no longer available on the Betsey Johnson website but you might be able to find it in department stores. If you are looking for some fun hats for the spring and summer, definitely check out the accessory section in clothing stores. I have seen great hats in almost every store I went to in the mall this past weekend. Not only are hats a great accessory but they are perfect for preventing sunburn during the summer.
