I believe in magic, how about you? I also believe in ghosts, aliens, and that every day is Halloween. Another thing I believe is you must check out the Magic Gardens in Philly! For a long time, I have always wanted to check this place out but I never did. Finally, at the beginning of October, my boyfriend and I went and it was definitely worth the wait.
You can read more about the Magic Gardens by clicking here, but it is basically an outdoor museum created from glass bottles, hand-made tiles, bicycle wheels, mirrors, and so many more objects. This is a place where you can come back to a few times and discover something new in the artwork each time.
We visited the Magic Gardens on a weekday afternoon, which was perfect because it was not over crowded. There were other people there but it was still easy to take pictures. We also purchased tickets online beforehand.
Since the weather was so nice the day we went to the Magic Gardens, I was able to wear one of my favorite fall dresses. This dress is perfect for fall because it is plaid, and it can be layered a few different ways.
It was pretty hot out when I wore this dress so I did not have to worry about it being sleeveless. This dress can totally be worn with a long sleeve shirt underneath it, such as a solid black or white one. It can also be styled with jeans and a long sleeve shirt and worn unbuttoned, more like a long vest. I wore this dress as a long vest last winter, which you can check out here.
This time around, I wore black leggings with this dress. I think red leggings would look cool too. Not only is a plaid dress like this one perfect for the fall because of the pattern on it, but also because it can be layered with a cropped motto jacket on a chilly fall day and/or night.
I purchased this plaid dress from Forever 21 a few years ago but many stores currently have similar ones available. Stores such as Target, Macy’s, Nordstrom, and ModCloth have plaid dresses in a variety of colors, lengths, and styles. I wore my dress with flats but a pair of booties would look great with it too.
Plaid dresses also transition into winter very well. I would definitely recommend trying one out if you haven’t already. If you have never been to the Magic Gardens you should visit soon! Whether you are looking for a new local place to explore or are going to be visiting Philadelphia, the Magic Gardens should be on your list!
