Since spring is officially here, it is time for some awesome spring break adventures! Now is the best time to break away from the last bit of cold weather and go somewhere nice and warm. I recently went to Jamaica for my spring break trip and it was heaven! In this post, I am going to share my spring break essentials to help you get ready for your own trip!
Fun Graphic Tees
The first spring break essential is fun graphic t-shirts. You can find these at any store but I recently found some that are perfect to wear on vacation in Old Navy and Forever 21. When I was shopping for my trip, I bought any shirt that was tropical or vacation inspired.
Graphic tees are great to wear on vacation because they are easy to style with many different pairs of shorts or jeans. They are also fun to wear and they are comfortable. What better way to relax on vacation than in an “Oh Hey Vacay” shirt?!
Bold Colored Shorts
The second spring break essential is bold colored shorts. You can mix and match these shorts to different graphic tees. The bold colors and fun patterns on shorts are great to wear on vacation too. I really enjoyed styling my coral colored shorts with my coral reef shirt from Forever 21. If this outfit doesn’t scream island time, I don’t know what does!
Cover-Ups With Cool Patterns
The third spring break essential you need is a few cover-ups to wear over your bathing suits. All of my cover-ups have come from Target over the past few years. I always love the cool patterns they have on them. Sometimes they also sell cover-ups with neat back details on them. These cover-ups are super easy to throw on over your bathing suit and are perfect to wear during a lunch break by the pool.
Hats
Hats are an important spring break essential to protect your head and face from the sun. Even when I put sunscreen on, I enjoy wearing hats as an accessory. The brand Coolibar has a bunch of stylish sun hats that will protect you and keep you stylish. I also love wearing my hat from Sole Society, which I received in a Box of Style last year.
Your Favorite Bathing Suits
Another important spring break essential is bathing suits. You want to be comfortable in your bathing suit so make sure to bring your favorite ones! My favorite ones range from skulls and galaxy prints to bright colors and pineapples. I purchase a lot of my bikinis from Hot Topic, Old Navy, and Delia’s. Old Navy currently has a lot of great bathing suits in a variety of prints and styles. I would definitely recommend checking them out.
Sunscreen
Last but not least, you HAVE to have sunscreen with your spring break essentials. It is so important to wear sunscreen to prevent skin cancer. It also helps reduce signs of aging. I always wear sunscreen since skin cancer runs in my family. Currently, my favorite brand of sunscreen has been Elta MD. I use their face, body, and lip sunscreen and it feels and works great.
I also enjoy the Beautycounter sunscreen stick and the Ocean Potion Dab-On Spot Stick. The Ocean Potion stick is perfect to use on your scalp. Getting sunburn on your scalp is not fun. It hurts and become flaky and itchy. Plus, I would not want to get skin cancer on my scalp. I have been using this dab-on spot stick for many years now and it works like a charm. I would highly recommend giving it a try.
If you are going somewhere warm and tropical, my spring break essentials list is great to use when packing. Even if you are not going on vacation until the summer, all of these items are perfect for a trip then as well. Check out all of the tropical/vacation inspired graphic tees, shorts, cover-ups, and bathing suits that are currently in stores now because we all know how fast they sell out. I hope you have enjoyed my list and let me know what your favorite essential is and if you have a fun trip coming up!
