From colored jeans to skulls, this look incorporates some of my favorite things to wear! If you have been following my blog for awhile, you know how much I love bold colors, patterns, and anything with skulls on it. I was able to combine all of my favorite things for one fun outfit that can also double as a work look!
I purchased this black and white striped blazer from Material Girl a few years ago. It is very lightweight and fun to style. It also has pockets and I love styling it against different colors of jeans. For this look, I decided to style it with a pair of purple jeans. I really enjoy how the black and white stripes look against this shade of purple.
Since there is a lot going on between my pants and blazer, I kept my shirt and shoes black. This prevented the outfit from getting too crazy, and it also tied the whole look together. I accessorized with black sunglasses and one of my favorite skull Betsey Johnson necklaces.
I wore this outfit to a Board of Directors meeting for the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society. I like to dress up for these meetings since it is a professional place. If I had styled this outfit without a blazer and wore a pair of Converse shoes instead, this look would be way more casual and not as professional looking. It is amazing what a fun blazer and a simple pair of flats can do to dress up an outfit.
This look can definitely be worn to a professional setting like I did, or just worn for a causal day out. When you have to put together a professional looking outfit, try wearing a fun blazer. Professional does not necessarily equal boring or strict clothing, it is more about still expressing yourself while looking a little more polished.
