The Sound

A week and a half ago I was lucky enough to go see The 1975 perform at the Mann Center in Philly! I have seen them twice before and they get better and better each time. One of my favorite parts of their show was the awesome and crazy lights they had. The lights would change to a different background for each song and it was amazing! I purchased a few items from their merch table, one of them being this bight floral t-shirt.

They had a bunch of t-shirts available to purchase, but my eyes went directly to this bright blue one! My favorite shade of blue is on the front and back of this shirt along with a few beautiful flowers. One of their band symbols is rectangles and I love how that is incorporated into the shirt through the blue rectangle and the white one inside of it.

I purchased the smallest size they had in this shirt but it was still super big and long. To make this shirt more fitted I tucked it into a pair of grey jeans. I liked how the shirt looked tuck in but the outfit did not seem complete. I added a white belt from Express to my jeans and that really helped the put together tucked in look. This was another outfit that I knew needed a hat but instead of a floppy one I wore a black studded fedora.

I really like that there is printing on the back of this shirt and not just the front. The back of the shirt is very similar to the front except there is a list of tour dates printed in the blue rectangle. I also purchased a poster that looks exactly like the back of this shirt. If you are a big fan of band shirts like I am, sometimes you have to come up with creative ways to wear them. Some band shirts might not fit right and are too big. If that is the case you can try tucking them in like I did. You could also trying pairing a lose band shirt with a pair of super skinny jeans to balance out the look. Another option I like to do is to throw on a blazer or cardigan over a band tee if you are going for a more polished look. Get creative with your band tees and start wearing them this spring!
