Free Spirit

Fringe, wide brimmed hats, and suede are just a few of my favorite items to wear during the fall. I love wearing all three items together and creating a southwestern, 60s look. I purchased a lot of these pieces last year but I still see similar ones available in stores today!

My vest and hat are both from Express and I love styling them together. Express had a lot of faux suede and fringe items last spring, which is when I purchased this vest. I’m glad I purchased this vest in black because it pairs well with everything. I really enjoyed how my hat and vest looked against my teal jeans. Since I knew my jeans were going to be colorful, I decided to keep my shirt simple and neutral.


My jewelry for this outfit was definitely southwestern inspired. I wore a bracelet with red and turquoise stones on it, and my favorite sugar skull necklace. I kept my sunglasses simple with a pair of black and white Ray-Bans and wore a pair of black slip on shoes.

A warm, fall day is perfect for this look. It is very enjoyable to wear and it makes me want to go back to New Mexico! This outfit would also be great to wear in the spring during festival season. I have seen similar vest available in different colors such as camel and burgundy. A fringe vest and a wide brimmed hat, are perfect to purchase now with all the cyber Monday sales going on.
