Ocean Blues

A few weeks ago, one of my good friends from high school got married! Her wedding was a blast and everyone had a great time dancing and celebrating.

Since the wedding was near the beginning of the summer, I decided to wear one of my favorite summer dresses. This dress is by Betsey Johnson and I purchased it a few summers ago.

Blue is my favorite color so you can see why I was attracted to this dress. The black and white patches really help all the different shades of blue pop throughout the dress.


This dress is long but has a shorter black slip built in underneath it. The back of the dress almost has a racerback shape to it. The zipper is also located on the back.


I wanted the dress to stand out on its own, so I kept my accessories pretty simple. I went with black accessories to match the patches of black on the dress. I used a black studded clutch from Forever 21 as my purse. My necklace and bracelet were also black and white.


I wore a pair of Betsey Johnson sandals that complimented the dress nicely. These sandals have different shades of blue on the straps that match the dress perfectly.

This blue Betsey Johnson dress is a favorite of mine to wear during the summer. It is lightweight and the colors are perfect for this time of year. If you have a wedding to attend this summer, different shades of blue are perfect colors to wear. Coral would also be a great color for a summer wedding.
