Happy October everyone! If you know me or have been following my blog, you know Halloween is my favorite holiday. I like to celebrate it all year but I especially love the Halloween spirit in October! I have a lot of October plans to go to some haunted attractions, pick pumpkins, and of course watch my favorite movie of all time, The Nightmare Before Christmas!
The temperature here has been pretty warm, so I wanted to share one way I incorporate October colors into clothing on a hot day. This is an outfit I wore to teach so it does have a more polished, workwear vibe to it. This look can definitely be worn out on a casual day as well. It is not super fancy.
I wore a pair of dress shorts since it was in the eighties outside, but I paired these shorts with a navy and orange top. This top is from Forever 21 and it has a cute orange ribbon detail that runs across the front of the shirt. There is also a dainty bow on the left side of the top.
This shade of orange is the perfect for October. I wore a pair of matching sandals to tie the whole look together. I also stuck with a neutral, white belt to add an extra accessory to this outfit.
An outfit like this one is perfect for when it is still very hot out, yet it is October and you want to wear some fall colors. It is also a great excuse to still get wear out of summer clothing but sprinkle in a little bit of the October spirit.
