I have always loved fashion, clothing, and shopping for as long as I can remember. I love being unique with my clothing. I have always enjoyed wearing and finding items that not everyone would wear. For example, colored jeans can be very bold and not everyone is comfortable wearing them.
I have been told before that I have a knack for finding cool items so I started this blog as a way to showcase unique pieces of clothing that I have found. Not only is The Poppy Skull a fashion diary for myself but it is also a place to bring inspiration to others.
I want to show how unique pieces can be styled and worn in daily life. I want to inspire people to wear clothing, such as colored jeans, that they might be too afraid to wear and show them how they can style these pieces. I personally always loved finding style and outfit inspiration online, which is why I wanted a place to bring inspiration to others.
Along with being a fashion blogger, I am also a classical guitarist. I have a Master’s Degree in Classical Guitar Performance and perform in a classical guitar duo, Dulcet Guitar Duo.
Music and fashion have always been a massive part of my life. In fact, when it was time to pick a major in college, I was torn between the two. I ended up choosing music and I am very happy I did. I have always believed music and fashion go hand in hand and inspire and influence each other. A lot of my outfits are inspired by music, whether it is a band, genre, or song.
Other things that inspire my style are the Nightmare Before Christmas, Tim Burton, summer, and the beach. If you are a fan of any of these things The Poppy Skull is for you.
