Mad For Plaid

Fall is the time of year when you see all different kinds of plaid. You will see many different types of plaid flannel shirts in a variety of colors. You will also see plaid on other types of fabric, such as cotton. Target has a really cool fall campaign going on right now that consists of plaid everything; cutting boards, napkins, towels, clothing, mouthwash bottles (yes even the Listerine bottles are plaid), mugs, plates, and the list goes on and on! I am a big fan of wearing plaid in the fall so when I saw this plaid dress at Forever 21 back in August, I knew it would be perfect for this time of year!

This dress is one of those pieces of clothing with endless styling possibilities! You could even wear this dress in the summer with some cute sandals and a pair of shorts underneath. Since it was a pretty warm fall day when I wore this dress, it was ok to be sleeveless. However, when it does get colder out you could totally wear a long sleeve shirt underneath this dress. This dress could also be worn open, like a kimono, over a pair of jeans and a long sleeve shirt. I decided to wear black leggings underneath this dress but many other colors such as, grey, white, burgundy, red and maybe even some brighter colors could work with this dress.

This dress is currently on Forever 21’s website as the “Tartan Plaid Shirt Dress”. It only comes in this black and white plaid but they have a ton of other plaid shirt dresses in a variety of lengths, colors, and fabrics. This dress is very comfortable and lightweight.

IMG_3780This dress moves very nicely as well and has such a fall vibe to it! You can also pair many different types of boots with this dress. For this look I decided on a higher pair of boots but even a shorter pair or a pair of booties would work too! This dress is definitely a piece that I will be styling in many different ways this fall and winter. If you want a plaid shirt dress like this one I would suggest checking out Forever 21 or even Target! There are so many great ways to style this dress causing you to get a lot of wear out of it!
